JODI beck BIO
Jodi Beck is a graduate of California State University Long Beach in Fashion Merchandising. Growing up in a family of building and marketing entrepreneurs introduced her to blue prints, marketing brochures, architects and contractors which was an advantage when stepping into the Visual Arts market place.
Born and raised in Southern California she had a passion for the surf industry and her decade at Quiksilver Inc. gave her the opportunity to create a diverse array of environmental design spaces within a global organization. As Director of Visual Arts, she was responsible for the implementation of retail stores, tradeshow booths, events, sales meetings, window displays, fashion show sets and corporate building décor for all Quiksilver’s 14 brands.
Her passion for 3-dimensional environments continued and shifted towards residential construction and interior design. During this season of her career she worked for bettershelter where she staged residential homes and executed events for sustainable condo conversions. Jodi's time with WLB Custom Building she designed, developed and managed newhome and re-model construction in the Orange and Los Angeles County to add to her resume.
The next venture took her energy to Molly Wood Garden Design broadening her design and business skills into the outdoors; creating spaces, structure and increasing revenue for the nationally recognized firm as it continued to expand into the retail sector. Here she was involved in landscape, furniture and accessory for outdoor spaces, interior plantscapes and photo shoot staging projects while managing the retail showroom and Pop-up retail concept.
As Jodi continued to evolve in her career it was a natural transition to start JODIbeckDESIGN. The concept is to design fun and authentic environments for her clients using her fruitful years of experience. As a creative thinker and problem solver her passion for retail, interiors, landscape and events are a part of the wide variety of genres that keeps her on her toes. People may ask “What kind of design do you do?” She will respond “What do you need?”
If you are in the local area you might find her searching for new design concepts, on the water, on her way to a home build in Mexico or maybe just living life and smiling.
